The North East Migration Partnership (NEMP) provides strategic leadership and local support across the North East region, and is hosted by Middlesbrough Council. NEMP works with national, regional and local partners to ensure that the region can deal with, and benefit from, migration.

Courses are available to help new refugees and asylum seekers understand the law, expectations and social norms in the UK.  They aim to develop knowledge and confidence to access help or advice when required.  Courses include Life and Laws in the UK, Parenting and Looking After Your Health.

The North East Migration Partnership (NEMP) is one of a number of local authority led Strategic Migration Partnerships that operate throughout the country, funded through the Home Office Enabling Grant.

We work with a collaboration of organisations across the statutory and voluntary sector and includes input from private sector contractors.
