Action Foundation
Action Foundation is an award-winning charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne providing support to disadvantaged refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants across the North East.
Action Foundation offers a free citywide multi-agency weekly drop-in project in Newcastle for asylum seekers, refugees and/or other migrants. This happens every Thursday 11am – 2pm.
Action Foundation provides free English lessons to people seeking asylum, refugees, and other migrants who are not eligible for or find it difficult to attend college classes. Classes are for people aged over 18. Newcastle classes are two times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at The CastleGate.
Action Foundation offers regular youth groups in Newcastle and Gateshead for children and young people, as well social, sporting activities and educational sessions to enrich their lives in and outside of school.
Action Foundation provides supported accommodation for people who have been refused asylum and have No Recourse to Public Funds.

Language Classes in Newcastle
Action Language provides free English lessons to people seeking asylum, refugees, and other migrants unable to access mainstream classes. There are classes in Newcastle, Sunderland and online.

Clinical Services
We provide specialist psychological therapy to help asylum seekers and refugees who have survived torture recover and rebuild their lives in the UK. And we provide training for professionals working with torture survivors.
With survivors, we campaign for change in the UK and across the world. Together, we raise awareness and influence decision-makers about torture and its impact.

Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity that helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. These include programmes such as : Fairbridge – Personal development programme with 1-1 support. Get Started – Short courses to engage young people in specialized areas. Achieve – Flexible programme with practical approach to learning. Get Into – Short courses to develop personal skills. Enterprise – Support and funding to help young people explore and test own business ideas.
Courses vary from 19 years old plus but mostly 16-30 year olds. Must be registered onto the courses via the trust. Offered to people not in employment or education or those under-achieving. Self referral and referrals for other organisation such as DWP welcomed.
