Our hubs contain information for councils, key partners, the voluntary and community sector, and people arriving in the North East.

The Asylum Hub contains information for asylum seekers, local authorities and other statutory partners. The Hub features useful welcome resources (including health, life and laws, and parenting), online government guidance, information about where to get support, and links to publicly available data.

ESOL and Employability Hub

The ESOL and Employability Hub is aimed at councils and other key partners involved in supporting the community to access English language and ESOL classes. NEMP works across the twelve North East councils to coordinate English language learning and provide support in progression through to employment by working with a range of key partners such as the Department for Work and Pensions and VCSE organisations.

Hong Kong Hub

The Hong Kong Hub is primarily aimed at people arriving to the North East of England as Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas). It includes information that will help you settle into the UK and your local area. There is also information and guidance for councils.

Resettlement Hub

The Resettlement Hub is aimed at councils and other statutory partners involved in supporting resettled refugees from various countries, including Syria and Afghanistan. The hub includes key information on the resettlement process and useful resources for councils. NEMP supports a network of councils involved with the resettlement of refugees into the North East region.

Ukraine Hub

The Ukraine Hub contains information in relation to Ukrainian refugees and migrants, including the Ukraine Humanitarian Sponsorship scheme (Homes for Ukraine). There is information for councils, statutory organisations, the voluntary and community sector, potential sponsors, and individuals.

UASC Hub

The unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) Hub contains links to guidance and resources for young people, social workers, foster carers, and personal advisors relevant to the care and support of UASC. The hub features toolkits and fact sheets on the asylum process, age assessments, healthcare, and access to education.
