Migrant Help
Migrant Help is a charity that provides independent advice and guidance to assist asylum seekers in the UK move through and understand the asylum process. Information about the services they provide to asylum seekers can be found on the Migrant Help website.
Migrant Help have produced an asylum guide which can support explanations of the asylum process and the stages of claiming asylum. This resource has been translated into ten other languages than English. They also run a free asylum helpline which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is available to all asylum seekers in the UK by calling 0808 8010 503.
Barnardo’s Boloh Helpline
The Barnardo’s Boloh Helpline is there to provide mental health and wellbeing support to adult asylum seekers across the UK. This project is funded by the Home Office from September 2022 until January 2025.

You can also download a poster with all of this information on, in a range of languages including Arabic and Pashto, to share with asylum seekers.

Citizens Advice (CAB)
Citizens Advice is a service that provides free, independent, confidential, and impartial advice about people’s rights and responsibilities. They have a number of services that provide support to asylum seekers, such as information on how to prepare for an asylum interview.
Information which applies to asylum seekers, regarding immigration, housing, work etc. can be found by typing ‘asylum’ into the search bar via the website.
Asylum Support Appeals Project (ASAP)
The Asylum Support Appeals Project (ASAP) provides free legal advice and representation to asylum seekers at the Asylum Support Tribunal.
Asylum seekers can make a self-referral if they have an upcoming appeal at the Asylum Support Tribunal.
No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Network
No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) is a national network that safeguards the welfare of destitute families, adults and care leavers who are unable to access benefits due to their immigration status. NRPF has produced a range of free resources on immigration status, entitlements, and conditions.

Asylum Matters is a charity that works in partnership locally and nationally to improve the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum through social and political change.

NEMP Directory of Services
NEMP has a service directory for refugees and asylum seekers, where you can search for a range of services in your area. Services range from volunteering and job advice drop-ins to information on where your local food bank is located. You can filter the search by service type and distance.
Right to Remain Toolkit
Right to Remain has produced a toolkit guide to the UK immigration and asylum system. The toolkit provides information on the different stages of the asylum process.
Young Asylum Guide – Right to Remain
The Young Asylum Guide is an online resource which covers the stages of an unaccompanied young person’s asylum journey in sequential order. It is designed to be used by a young person and a trusted adult to work through together. Each stage has ‘problem’ and ‘action’ cards, designed to give advice on common issues which can arise at each stage.

Legal Aid can help meet the cost of legal advice, family mediation and representation in a court or tribunal. You can find out if you are eligible to claim support on the government website.
