Health and Wellbeing Resources for Professionals Supporting Asylum Seekers
Health and wellbeing are an important priority for asylum seekers transitioning to the UK. It can be an incredibly stressful time so it is crucial that asylum seekers are adequately supported to look after their mind and body.
This page is designed to support different professionals to bridge the health inequality gap seen within refugees and asylum seekers by providing signpost and information to ensure individuals and their families are as healthy as possible.
There is more information on health in the UK that can be found in our Welcome Guides. They were created for refugees, asylum seekers and others who are new to the UK, to familiarise themselves with support available.
They were created in collaboration with people who have lived experience of transitioning to the UK and were built on the knowledge they deemed important for new arrivals.
The information has been translated into 13 languages and majority can be accessed in both video and poster form. You can find them here if you wish to use them with the people you are supporting.
