Videos

NEMP has worked with Action Foundation to develop welcome resources for young people arriving in the North East. Action Foundation is a Newcastle-based charity and a well-established organisation within the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in the North East. The charity works to support refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants to build independent and successful lives in the UK.

These resources provide information about the region, the support available, local services, and opportunities for children and young people to get involved in community life. Action Foundation worked with young people to develop a series of videos showcasing what life is like in the North East of England. The project was led by the young people themselves, drawing on their lived experiences and perspectives of settling in the region. The videos are available in ten different languages.

Leaflets

NEMP has worked with Action Foundation to develop leaflets for young people arriving in the North East. The leaflets provide information about the region, the support and services available, and opportunities for children and young people to get involved in their local communities.
